In recent years, with rising labor costs, increasingly stringent environmental regulations, and ever-improving requirements for production environments, more and more factories are adopting professional cleaning equipment to replace traditional manual cleaning methods. Especially in large locations such as warehouses, manufacturing workshops, and logistics centers, commercial floor scrubbers and sweepers have become important tools for improving cleaning efficiency and reducing operating costs.

Recently, Hefei KUER partnered with a Spanish manufacturing plant. The client ultimately purchased one KUER-XS50D walk-behind floor scrubber, one KUER-H90 ride-on floor scrubber, and one KUER-SJ1250 ride-on Floor sweeper, comprehensively improving the factory's floor cleaning efficiency through this equipment combination solution.

Client Site Situation and Cleaning Challenges

The client has over 5,000 square meters of production workshop and approximately 10,000 square meters of warehouse area, with floors primarily consisting of epoxy and cement flooring. Due to the large amount of metal shavings, wood chips, and dust particles generated during daily production, floor cleaning has always been a key focus of factory management.

Previously, the client primarily relied on manual sweeping and mopping to clean the floors. However, as production scaled up, traditional cleaning methods gradually revealed numerous problems:

  • Low cleaning efficiency, requiring significant manpower for large areas;

  • Difficulty in removing metal shavings and wood chips, leaving residues easily;

  • Obvious water stains remain on the floor after mopping, affecting safe production;

  • Dust generated by equipment operation easily adheres to the epoxy floor surface;

  • The cost of recruiting and managing cleaning personnel is constantly increasing.

The client wanted to establish a more efficient and standardized floor cleaning solution while controlling overall operating costs.

KUER's Analysis of Client Needs

After assessing the client's site environment and cleaning requirements, the KUER team believes that the client should focus on the following three aspects when selecting equipment:

1. Equipment Durability and Long-Term Operating Costs

Due to the presence of a large amount of metal shavings and wood chips in the workshop, higher requirements are placed on the strength of the equipment chassis, the wear resistance of materials, and the overall structural stability. At the same time, the large area means that the equipment needs to operate continuously for long periods every day, therefore, the equipment lifespan directly affects the later operating costs.

2. Cleaning Efficiency and Battery Life:

Factories and warehouses with a total area exceeding 15,000 square meters will experience reduced cleaning efficiency if the equipment's battery life is insufficient or the water tank capacity is too small. This necessitates frequent water replenishment, wastewater disposal, and recharging.

3. Motor Quality and Cleaning Effectiveness:

The motor is a core component of commercial floor scrubbers, directly determining the cleaning effect and lifespan of the equipment. High-quality motors can operate stably for 4-5 years or more under normal use and maintenance conditions, while low-quality motors are prone to performance degradation and malfunctions.

This solution can meet the cleaning needs of large areas and small spaces, but manual removal of metal and wood chips is still required before scrubbing, otherwise the suction system may be clogged, increasing maintenance costs.

Solution 2: Self-propelled Floor Scrubber + Ride-on Floor Sweeper

While it can combine sweeping and scrubbing, the A65Z is equipped with a 50L water tank, requiring frequent replenishment of clean water and emptying of wastewater in large factory environments, limiting continuous operation capacity and impacting overall cleaning efficiency.

Solution 3: Walk-behind Floor Scrubber + Ride-on Floor Scrubber + Ride-on Floor Sweeper

Configuration:

This option fully leverages the advantages of different equipment:

  • The XS50D handles cleaning narrow passageways, equipment perimeters, and corner areas;

  • The H90 efficiently cleans open areas such as workshop aisles and warehouses;

  • The SJ1250 handles concentrated sweeping of metal shavings, wood chips, and dust, and can also handle parking lot and factory road cleaning.

For manufacturing plants with large amounts of metal shavings and wood chips, following a "sweep first, then scrub" cleaning process is particularly important.

If a floor scrubber is used directly, large particles of debris can easily clog the suction pipes, filtration system, and squeegee, affecting cleaning effectiveness and increasing equipment maintenance frequency.

The SJ1250 ride-on floor sweeper can collect particulate waste in advance, creating favorable conditions for subsequent floor washing. Simultaneously, its large-capacity waste bin and spray dust suppression system effectively control dust, improving overall cleaning quality.

During the floor washing phase, the H90 ride-on scrubber, with its 85L clean water tank and 95L wastewater tank, can operate continuously for extended periods, significantly reducing the frequency of water replenishment and wastewater discharge, making it particularly suitable for warehouses and large production workshops.

For areas inaccessible to larger equipment, the XS50D provides supplementary cleaning, achieving true coverage without blind spots.
